Hearing Support Service

We offer specialist advice, training and support for early years settings, schools , colleges and professionals working with hearing impaired children and young people.

The service is made up of a team of qualified teachers with an additional mandatory qualification in hearing impairment ( known as ToDs or QTHIs), an Educational Audiologist, Audiological Technician and Hearing Support Practitioners.

The main aims of the service are to empower and enable schools to meet the desired outcomes for children and young people with a hearing impairment through raising awareness of the barriers to learning experienced by children with hearing impairment, promote full inclusion and maximise educational potential.
